  • 1 tbsp soy sauce Enhances umami flavor.
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted) Gives sauce a rich finish.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Fresh garlic enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and cut into 1.5-inch pieces.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat in the cornstarch mixture.
  • Drizzle the coated chicken with olive oil and toss again.
  • Arrange chicken on the baking sheet in a single layer without touching.

Cooking

  • Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
  • While the chicken bakes, prepare the sauce by combining honey, sriracha, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, melted butter, and minced garlic in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Simmer sauce for 2-3 minutes, stirring until it thickens slightly.
  • Remove the chicken from oven and transfer to a bowl, pour the sauce over it and toss gently.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes
