Ingredients

Crust

  • 1.5 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs This buttery, aromatic base brings a delightful crunch to the dessert.
  • 0.33 cups Granulated Sugar Add this sweetness to enhance the crust's flavor, giving it that perfect touch.
  • 0.5 cups Melted Butter Rich and creamy, the melted butter binds the crumbs together for a delectable crust.

Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened) The heart of the cheesecake filling, adds a rich texture.
  • 1 cups Powdered Sugar Sweet and fine, this powdered sugar makes the filling smooth and delightful.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract A hint of vanilla adds warmth and depth.
  • 8 oz Whipped Topping (thawed) Light and airy, this topping makes the cheesecake filling luscious and fluffy.

Topping

  • 21 oz Cherry Pie Filling Tart yet sweet cherry filling adds a pop of color and flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the Graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  • Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form an even crust. Bake for about 10 minutes or until slightly golden. Allow it to cool completely.

Make the Cheesecake Filling

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer until it’s smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue mixing until well combined.
  • Pour in the vanilla extract and mix again until combined.

Fold in the Whipped Topping

  • Once the cream cheese mixture is smooth, gently fold in the thawed whipped topping. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

Assemble the Layers

  • Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the cooled crust, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  • Follow this with an even layer of cherry pie filling, gently spreading it to cover the cheesecake filling completely.

Chill and Serve

  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight if time permits.
  • When ready to serve, cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, ensure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps. Chilling time is essential for the flavors to meld. Leftover filling can be turned into mini parfaits. Garnish with whipped cream, crushed almonds, fresh cherries, or mint leaves for added flair.
