  • 0.5 cup bread crumbs (plain or Italian seasoned) Adds crunch while maintaining moisture.
  • 0.25 cup milk (any kind) Binds ingredients and enhances tenderness.
  • 1 large egg (lightly beaten) Acts as a binding agent.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Infuses flavor.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Adds Italian flair.
  • 0.5 tsp salt Enhances flavors.
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper Provides a gentle kick.

For Serving

  • 1 jar marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade) Rich, tangy sauce to finish the dish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, milk, beaten egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Take a handful of the mixture and roll it into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • While the meatballs cook, warm the marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the meatballs are fully cooked, place them in the warmed marinara sauce and allow to simmer for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Tips for best results: Add more breadcrumbs if the mixture feels too wet. Consider adding grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor. You can make these meatballs ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator or freeze them for later use.
