  • 0.5 cup butter (melted) Adds richness and moisture.
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar Provides sweetness.
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar Adds caramel-like richness.

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Imparts a lovely aroma.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Stir until creamy.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well until smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently.
  • Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop rounded tablespoons onto a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For crispier edges, bake a little longer; do not overmix the dough. Store cookies in an airtight container.
