Preparation

  • Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Once it reaches a rolling boil, add in the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes.
  • While the pasta cooks, finely chop the red onion, celery, and fresh dill.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, dill pickle relish, and dill pickle juice.
  • Once the macaroni is cooked and cooled, drain it and rinse with cold water. Add the pasta to the dressing mixture along with the chopped celery, red onion, and fresh dill.
  • Sprinkle in the salt and black pepper, then gently mix everything together, ensuring the pasta is well-coated with the creamy dressing.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.

Notes
