Instructions
 

Baking the Rice

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine the rinsed long-grain white rice and warmed broth in a large baking dish.
  • Add the melted butter, salt, and black pepper, mixing everything gently to combine.
  • Bake the rice mixture in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the rice has absorbed most of the liquid and is fluffy.

Searing the Shrimp

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the raw shrimp and season them with salt and black pepper.
  • Sear the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the unsalted butter and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and golden for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet, tossing them in the garlicky butter.

Combining and Serving

  • Once the rice is done baking, remove it from the oven and fluff it with a fork.
  • Pour the garlic shrimp mixture over the rice, gently folding it in.
  • Sprinkle chopped parsley and red pepper flakes on top.

Notes

For a quicker preparation, use pre-cooked shrimp. Don't skip resting time after baking to enhance flavor melding. For healthier variations, use brown rice or add more vegetables.
