  • 0.5 cups breadcrumbs Plain breadcrumbs provide the perfect binding agent.
  • 0.5 cups ketchup Used for the glaze that caramelizes beautifully.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, and ketchup. Mix until just combined.
  • Transfer the mixture onto a lined baking sheet or in a loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf form, about 2 inches high.
  • Squeeze a generous layer of ketchup over the top of your formed meatloaf.

Baking

  • Place your meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Serving

  • Once baked, allow your Glazed Meatloaf to rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider adding minced garlic or chopped onions. For a spicier kick, add Worcestershire sauce or hot sauce.
