Preparation

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Add the diced yellow onion and green bell pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Increase heat to medium-high, add the ground turkey, and season with oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Pour in the tomato sauce and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  • Fold in the halved olives and raisins.
  • Sprinkle the ground cumin and let the mixture simmer on low for 10-15 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes
