Ingredients

For the Glaze

  • 1 tablespoon Gochujang Spicy fermented chili paste.
  • 2 teaspoons Mirin Sweet rice wine.
  • 2 teaspoons Soy Sauce For savory depth.
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar Balances the flavors.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Toasted Sesame Oil Adds richness.
  • 1 clove Garlic Freshly minced.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fresh Ginger Zesty root for warmth.

Main Ingredients

  • 2 filets Wild Salmon Succulent and nutritious.
  • 1 spray Cooking Spray Prevents sticking.
  • 2 tablespoons Scallions Thinly sliced for garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon Black Sesame Seeds For garnish and texture.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the gochujang, mirin, soy sauce, sugar, toasted sesame oil, minced garlic, and fresh ginger until well combined.

Cooking

  • Spray a non-stick skillet with cooking spray and heat it over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully place the wild salmon filets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes without moving them.
  • Once partially cooked, brush the gochujang glaze over the top of the filets.
  • Flip the salmon filets gently and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from skillet and garnish with sliced scallions and black sesame seeds.

Notes

Keep an eye on the salmon to avoid overcooking. Marinating the salmon in the glaze for 30 minutes before cooking enhances the flavor. Opt for fresh garlic and ginger for robust flavors.
