Ingredients
  

For the dish

  • 0.5 lb chicken breast Sliced thinly for even cooking.
  • 1 cup broccoli florets Cut into small florets for best texture.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
  • 1 tbsp oil For cooking; can use vegetable or peanut oil.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by washing and cutting the broccoli into small florets.
  • Slice the chicken breast into thin strips.
  • In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and marinate for about 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • In a large non-stick skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the marinated chicken to the skillet, stirring occasionally, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes.
  • If using pre-cooked noodles, add them now, drizzle with the remaining tablespoon of soy sauce and toss everything for 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnishing with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding crushed red pepper, snap peas, or bell peppers. This dish can also be made vegetarian by replacing chicken with tofu.
