Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs shaved beef (ribeye or sirloin) this succulent meat cooks quickly and packs a punch of flavor
  • 1 large yellow onion (finely chopped) adds a sweet, aromatic touch as it caramelizes
  • 1 medium green bell pepper (finely chopped) provides a bright, crunchy contrast to the tender beef
  • 12 slices provolone cheese melty, creamy goodness that oozes out of each slider
  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls (12-count) these fluffy, slightly sweet rolls cradle all the delicious fillings
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce a burst of umami that deepens the flavor profile
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste) enhances the overall taste, making every component shine
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (or to taste) gives just the right amount of warmth and depth
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter (divided) brings richness and keeps everything moist and delicious
  • 1 tsp garlic powder adds an aromatic layer to the savory notes
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted) for brushing on the rolls to achieve that golden, crispy finish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in the pan and toss in the finely chopped onions and green bell peppers. Sauté them for about 5-7 minutes, or until they become tender and slightly caramelized.
  • Add the shaved beef to the skillet. Sprinkle Worcestershire sauce over the beef, followed by the salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is fully cooked.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. While it warms up, grab a baking dish and arrange the Hawaiian rolls without separating them. Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture generously over the rolls, then layer the provolone cheese slices on top.
  • Brush the remaining melted butter over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 10-15 minutes.
  • If you like a little more crispiness, remove the foil in the last few minutes of baking to let the tops brown slightly.

Notes

For added flavor, toast the rolls lightly before assembling. Avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking the beef for proper searing.
