  • 1/2 tsp lime zest Provides a zesty brightness.
  • Crackers for serving Choose crispy breadsticks or sliced baguette.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier blending. Beat it in a mixing bowl using a hand mixer or whisk until fluffy and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Slice the guava paste into small cubes or mash it with a fork until semi-smooth to help with incorporation.

Combining Ingredients

  • Add the guava paste to the mixing bowl with the cream cheese, along with lime zest and honey if desired. Fold the mixture carefully until well combined and uniform.

Optional Heating

  • For a warmed dip, transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and heat it in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes until warmed through.

Final Preparation

  • Taste the dip and adjust sweetness with more honey if needed. Optionally, sprinkle with additional lime zest before serving.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving platter and surround it with crackers or breadsticks.

Notes

For added garnishing, try fresh mint leaves or edible flowers. You may also add chopped jalapeño for a spicy kick. For best flavor, chill for an hour before serving.
